Program Note

This piece is composed for tenor saxophone and piano. The score utilizes various note heads and symbols to represent different sounds of both instruments, and vertical lines to represent performers' gesture for producing certain sounds. The piece is based on mutual transformation, and contains repetitive ideas. The duration of the entire piece is approximately 5 1/2 min.
